Why are my shoes sparkly?

Fairy Fest was a lot of fun.  Be sure to check out the galleries at 4 Halos photography http://www.4halosphotography.com/ for some fantastic photos of adorable fairies! I did not get out and take very many photos, but got this good one of me with the Queen fairy, Miss Tina.

Handpainted wings

The hand painted wings are done - they turned out so cool! I will have five sets to sell. Wings will be $10 and $15.

My husband will be able to reclaim and use  "man land" tomorrow. I had taken over the gaming table for cutting tulle and to paint wings. Now we just have to vacuum up some glitter.  Just in time for a gathering of his friends!

Miss Irene, Miss Paula and Mr. Chris will be joining me at the Pixie Parlor. They are a fun bunch!

Of doll wings and last minute work

Hi fairy lovers, I was looking at the small and large butterflies the other day and it occurred to me that they are the right size for dolls. Here are what they look like:

(These butterflies will sell for $1 and $3) The small is about 3" tall, the others are about 7" tall.  These can be painted with acrylic craft paints, so you can buy a plain one and DIY!

Tied on with 2 ribbons, 14 inch long for a Barbie and 2 ribbons 24 inches long for my Chatty Kathy (similar height to American Girl dolls) this is how they look!  So cute! I will not have ribbon at the fairy Fest, but most folks have some around at home to put these on dolls!

The Candy Tuft Fairy

This is another from my fairy plate collection.  Again, the plate has much crisper detail.

Why am I "Candytuft"? That I don't know!
Maybe the fairies first called me so.
Maybe the children, just for a joke:
(I'm in the gardens of most little folk)
Look at my clusters, see how they grow
Some pink or purple, some white as snow:
Petals uneven, Big ones and small;
Not very tufty - no candy at all!

I have one more plate, then you have seen the whole series.

The plates will be for sale at Fairy Fest. The price is $20 each. These plates have hangers factory attached on the backs. If you like a particular plate, contact me at astitchoutoftime@att.net and I will hold it for you at the festival.I will have boxes and bubble wrap.
 Each plate is 8" across.

The Sweet Pea Fairy
